Holiday Closures

To give everyone more time with family and friends, the district court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin will be closed as follows this holiday season:

• Closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025 and Friday, December 26, 2025 in observance of the Christmas holiday

• Closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026 and Friday, January 2, 2026 in observance of the New Year holiday

Media registration is required in specified cases. Absent such a requirement, media may enter the courthouse and attend proceedings under the same rules that govern the general public.

For access to the Media Workroom and Broadcast Room during jury selection and trial, you must submit the following form. You also must attach a copy of your valid press credential.  Incomplete applications will not be considered. You will be notified by email when your media pass is ready for pickup, along  with further instructions.
