Each year, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin partners with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York to present a one-hour FREE CLE on the Pro bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018, known as the POWER Act.
The Eastern District of Wisconsin is co-sponsoring an informational, virtual session about the Pro bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018, known as the POWER Act, which is designed to promote “pro bono legal services as a critical way in which to empower survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, and engage citizens in assisting those survivors.” The event is intended for attorneys and is open to court and non-court attorneys. One CLE credit has been approved.
