Consistent with the action taken by the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and other District Courts within the Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, (but not the Bankruptcy Court), will be closed on Monday, July 3, and Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Court information systems (CM/ECF, PACER, eJuror and eVoucher) will continue to operate during the closure.

The Director is also responsible for leading a team of six IT employees. In order to maintain consistency with the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and to reflect continued technological improvements, the CM/ECF filing size limitation will increase from ten to thirty-five megabytes per individual .PDF document on Monday April 11, 2017.
The Jury Plan provides detailed guidelines for selection, record retention and terms of service for jurors serving in the US District Court – Eastern District of Wisconsin. The plan is approved by the Article III Judges of the District Court and the Judicial Council of the Seventh Circuit.
Consistent with the United States Court of Appeals and other District Courts within the Seventh Circuit, Chief Judge Griesbach has ordered the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin be closed for business in observance of the holiday season.
