Press Release From United States District Judge Rudolph T. Randa.

In a letter dated February 3, 2016 to President Barack Obama, I  announced my intention to move from active status to senior status effective February 5, 2016.

After serving for 41 years on both the State and Federal Courts in various capacities, it is time to reduce my workload and bring to the Eastern District of Wisconsin a new full-time active judge who will, in turn, bring additional assistance in dealing with the court’s docket.

CM/ECF Outage - Deadline Extension Requests

Between 5:30 p.m. on January 20, 2016 and 8:00 a.m. on January 21, 2016, the court's CM/ECF electronic case filing system was down. The system is now operational, and we are investigating the cause of the outage. If any parties missed filing deadlines due to an inability to access CM/ECF, they should file a brief, expedited motion asking for an extension of time, pursuant to Local Rule 7(h). The judges are aware that parties could not access CM/ECF during this time. Thank you for your patience.
